Construction Routes

Choose the Shell and Mirror Around the Program

The useful starting point is not a generic product gallery. It is the construction route that fits the desired appearance, weight, function and approval process.

ABS Shell

Flexible Color and Shape

Suitable for many branded retail and promotional programs. Confirm the body design, color reference, hinge or pivot structure and logo position.

Metal / Stainless Steel

Slim, Rigid Construction

A route for a more substantial compact format. Approve the metal finish, edge details, weight and mirror retention method.

PU Wrapped

Soft-Touch Exterior

Useful when the outer texture and hand feel are part of the brand presentation. Review the wrapping edge, seams and logo process on the sample.

Wood Shell

Distinctive Natural Appearance

Wood gives the compact a different visual and tactile direction. Natural grain and color variation should be agreed during sampling.

Acetate Shell

Pattern, Color and Custom Outline

Acetate supports expressive patterns and shapes such as the heart example shown on this page. Approve sheet appearance, edge finish, pivot details and logo placement.

LED Compact

Portable Lighting Function

Lighting, power, charging and runtime requirements are reviewed by model. The approved LED configuration is checked during QC.

Real Product Development Example

Acetate-Shell Heart Compact Mirror

This example shows a heart-shaped acetate shell, colored and glitter-patterned surfaces, a pivot structure and custom logo placement. It is useful for buyers comparing a distinctive custom outline with a standard round compact.

The mirror insert can be glass or acrylic. For compact formats, 2X is the usual magnification choice: higher magnification can be developed, but the small viewing area makes 2X the practical starting point for most projects.

Image disclosure: a product-development photograph was used; the original customer branding was replaced with JOJOMIRROR for confidentiality.

Customization Capability

What Can Be Customized

Existing Molds

Use an available construction as the starting point. Final mold availability, dimensions and component combination are confirmed against the selected design.

New Tooling

Develop a new body or outline when an existing mold does not fit the brief. Tooling scope, approvals and schedule are quoted by project.

Logo Branding

Confirmed logo processes include screen printing and debossing. Artwork size, position, color and readability are approved on the selected shell.

Mirror Options

Choose glass or acrylic mirror according to the construction. 2X is the usual magnification for compact mirrors; higher magnification is reviewed case by case.

Shape and Structure

Round, square, heart and other custom outlines can follow an existing-mold or new-tooling route, subject to engineering review.

Packaging

Share the retail, promotional or gifting requirement so the compact and its protective packaging can be reviewed together.

Verified Quality Checks

QC Items Confirmed for Compact Mirror Projects

The inspection plan follows the approved product and sample. These are the checks confirmed by the JoJoMirror team for relevant compact mirror constructions.

Shell Surface

Check for scratches, contamination and visible surface defects.

Plated Areas

Inspect plating defects when an electroplated component or finish is used.

Protective Film

Confirm that the mirror protection film is present and intact.

LED Function

For LED compact models, verify operation against the approved configuration.

LED Runtime

For the approved LED compact configuration, runtime is checked to a minimum two-hour target. Runtime target is defined per approved configuration and battery specification; it is not a universal performance claim for all LED compact mirror models.

Packaging Protection

Review the packing arrangement intended to reduce damage during transport.

Project Workflow

From Brief to Approved Compact Mirror

Share the Buyer Brief

Provide shape, dimensions, target quantity, shell direction, mirror type, logo artwork, packaging and destination market.

Select Existing Mold or New Tooling

Compare an available construction with the need for a new custom body or outline.

Confirm Materials and Artwork

Review shell material, glass or acrylic mirror, magnification, color, screen printing or debossing, and packaging direction.

Sample and Approval

Confirm appearance, structure, mirror choice, logo position and relevant functions on the project sample.

Production, QC and Packing

Proceed against the approved specification and project-specific quality checklist.

Compact Mirror FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask Before Sampling

Which shell materials can you make?

Available compact mirror shell directions include ABS, metal or stainless steel, PU wrapped, wood, acetate and LED compact constructions. The suitable route is confirmed against the design.

Can the mirror insert be glass or acrylic?

Yes. Compact mirrors can use glass or acrylic mirror inserts, depending on the chosen body and project requirements.

What magnification is recommended for a compact mirror?

2X is the usual magnification choice. Higher magnification can be developed, but the small viewing area means 2X is generally the practical starting point.

Can you use an existing mold and also develop new tooling?

Yes. Projects can start from an existing mold or move to new tooling when a custom shape, size or structure is required.

Which logo processes are confirmed?

Confirmed options include screen printing and debossing. Final artwork, size, position and color are approved for the selected shell.

What are the MOQ and lead time?

MOQ, sample schedule and production schedule are confirmed by project because they depend on the construction, tooling, logo, packaging and quantity.

What QC checks are used?

Relevant checks include shell scratches and contamination, plating defects where applicable, protective-film integrity, LED function and runtime for LED models, and packaging protection for transport.
